We invite adults, 60+ years of age, to dine with us at Robert M. Wilkinson

Multipurpose Adult Center. Enjoy a nutritious, hot, catered lunch daily.

Meals are prepared by a professional caterer complying with conventional nutrition standards through the Los Angeles Department of Aging.

Meals are Diabetic and Hypertension friendly.

A small donation of $3.10 per meal is suggested but not mandatory.

MEALS TO THE HOMEBOUND

Eligible adults, 60+ years of age, who are unable to arrange their own meals or shop for themselves, may qualify for a nutritionally balanced, hot lunch, delivered Monday through Friday right to their front door. A donation of $3.00 per meal is suggested but not mandatory. For more information call Christina Herrera, Homebound Meals Coordinator at (818) 885-5144.

MEALS ON WHEELS

Just think! If you or a loved one can’t shop and cook meals you may want to have meals delivered to the home. Valley InterCommunity Council operates a Meals on Wheels Program that provides meals to people of ALL ages who are in need of freshly prepared meals delivered to their door. This is a fee-for-service program. Check out our Meals on Wheels page for more information.

LA REGIONAL FOOD BANK

On the second Thursday of each month, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., those who are registered may visit the LA Regional Food Bank to receive two bags of groceries.

The Robert M. Wilkinson Multipurpose Senior Center offers a variety of classes, as well as social and recreational activities.

BINGO TOURNAMENT - Every Tuesday and Thursday

9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

ZUMBA GOLD, YOGA, BALLROOM DANCING, LINE DANCING, AND KNITTING & CROCHETING, PAINTING, SUPPORT GROUP, EXCERCISE CLASSES AND CURRENT EVENTS DISCUSSION GROUP

SUPPORT SERVICES

Eligible, older adults 60+ years of age can receive case management tailored to meet their needs and involve the recipient in the planning and decision making. As a result of a comprehensive assessment, service alternatives may include: care plan development, in-home support services, information and referrals to other community resources, emergency interventions, meal services, safety equipment, medical screenings and comfort calls. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Adults, 60+ years of age, that cannot drive or use other public transportation are eligibile to receive a ride. Rides are scheduled on a first come-first served basis, and no more than one week in advance. All vehicles provided are wheelchair accessible. A small donation of $0.50 per ride and $1.00 per ride outside the service area is suggested. Please contact Sandra Romero at (818) 756-9304.
