Local Opera Supports VIC and the Community through Art

For Opera and music lovers alike, a local group aims to bring the community together to support charity and art. Valley Interfaith Council is proud to announce an upcoming partnership with Center Stage Opera, as they perform "The Classics: Timeless Treasures" in Reseda.

Center Stage Opera has a long history of giving back to the community - as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, they aim to bring music education to youth in schools and neighborhoods where these crafts have long gone by the way of recent budget cuts. Center Stage Opera with their community service arm The Opera Tree works with other community service organizations, like VIC, to provide low-cost musical programs in the San Fernando Valley, as well as providing opportunities to attend operas or concerts for those that might not otherwise be able to.

The show will feature Mozart's Symphony No. 40 and Operatic Vocal Highlights featuring The Center Stage Opera Orchestra.

The upcoming run of shows will be held as follow:

Saturday, October 3, 2015 : 7: 30 p.m.

Sunday, October 4, 2015: 3:30 p.m.

Location: Reseda High School Performing Arts Center

18230 Kittridge St.

Reseda, CA, 91335

As a part of the partnership, patrons are asked to bring canned goods along with them to both shows. VIC representatives will be in the parking lots and entrances to collect the food items in order to stock up our Valley Food Pantries.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 818-517-4102 or by visiting www.centerstageopera.org
