Seniors Shine at "Hollywood Under the Stars" Prom at Wilkinson Center

The Seniors of the Wilkinson Multi-Purpose Senior Center arrived “Red Carpet” ready as they entered the Wilkinson Senior Prom Nutrition Fundraiser on September, 18, 2015. The theme was “Hollywood Under the Stars” and all who attended had their picture taken in front of the Hollywood Sign with Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Chief of Staff John Lee of Councilman Mitchell Englander’s Office made an appearance and handed out awards to the band for donating their time to this center. The band played not only for this event, but each week they entertain at the center. Local Opera Supports VIC and the Community through Art

For Opera and music lovers alike, a local group aims to bring the community together to support charity and art. Valley Interfaith Council is proud to announce an upcoming partnership with Center Stage Opera, as they perform "The Classics: Timeless Treasures" in Reseda. Center Stage Opera has a long history of giving back to the community - as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, they aim to bring music education to youth in schools and neighborhoods where these crafts have long gone by the way of recent budget cuts. Location: 10100 Balboa Blvd. Granada Hills, CA, 91344 (818) 772 - 1155 Website This site is very unique in that it is located at a Community Integrated Center for Regional Center Clients and Senior Clientele located in cusp of Northridge and Granada Hills. This center is Circular in shape and offers a lot of unique activities such as: Computer Classes, Bingo, an Exercise Room, and Arts and Crafts Classes.
