Valley Events

The Church and Society team at Northridge United Methodist Church will be hosting a Clean Money
workshop on Wednesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the Kendall Building at the church (following an optional dinner
at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall). The results from this workshop will be given to the Los Angeles City
Council, which is actively seeking input from the community on the idea of full public financing of city
elections and how this should be implemented. Clean Money is currently being used in several cities and
states and it has been responsible for creating a greater diversity of candidates. If you would like to
learn more about this issue and to give your opinions to the City Council, you are welcome to attend this
free workshop. The church is located at 9650 Reseda Boulevard in Northridge.
