Serving the San Fernando Valley, the Adult Day Programs provide non-medical, non-institutionally based services for meeting the physical, social and psychological needs of persons 60 years of age and over and other adults with physical, emotional or mental impairments, and who require assistance and supervision.
The goals are to offer socialization and stimulation to the participants and respite to the caregivers. The centers provide a hot lunch and two snacks per day.
These are community care licensed facilities that provide:
- Comprehensive needs assessment
- Development and implementation of care plans
- Individual counseling (by paraprofessional staff)
- Family and caregiver support
- Group discussions , family and caregiver support groups, community education
- Music. arts and crafts and games
- Mild exercise, creative movement
- Holiday and special event celebrations
- Field trips and Open houses
