The Valley Interfaith Council (VIC) will host its Annual Gandhi Day Celebration on Sunday, October 3rd at Canoga Park United Methodist Church, 22700 Sherman Way, CA 91307. Festivities kick off at 4:00 pm and will include Indian cultural exhibits including clothing, jewelry, Mehndi (henna skin art) and palm reading. The theme this year is Be The Change You Want To See In The World.

One of the most cherished rights of Americans is freedom of religion, included in the First Amendment to the Constitution and sometimes called the “First Freedom.”
The San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council (VIC) has always been a champion of this freedom and now we must speak out again, this time on behalf of our Muslim friends and neighbors.
The voices of intolerance are currently being amplified on the internet, in magazines, newspapers, radio and on cable television....

VIC invites the public to attend its annual Labor Day picnic and program to be held on Monday, September 6, 2010 at the Northridge United Methodist Church located at 9650 Reseda Blvd. at Superior St. in Northridge. All are welcome and no reservations are required for the free family BBQ.
