Interfaith Food Pantry Coalition
This massive operation requires the dedication and the support of many congregations, religious and service organizations, corporations, unions, VIC members and hundreds of volunteers. We continue to strengthen the food security network by recruiting new friends. Each independent pantry has established its own coalition to underwrite their expenses and labor needs. As members of the VIC Food Pantry group we extend and share resources with each other. During the past year, pantries gave out enough food to prepare more than 4 MILLION MEALS!

for To provide the quality and quantity of food needed by so many takes continuous and substantial support. The pantries benefited from a number of special activities throughout the year. Each event added to our food inventories and was greatly appreciated. We continue to increase our potential donation base and to fortify the coalition's infrastructure. The coalition is dedicated to continuing this essential human service.

Food
assistance is still a critical need for thousands of people in our
communities each and every day. The food pantries in the coalition
strive to help those who seek help. Who do they serve? They
give food to people on fixed low incomes, the under and unemployed, the
homeless. Their clients are not strangers! You may know some of
them as friends, relatives, co-workers or neighbors.
